Enjoy Spring and Fall Garden Lovers’ Weekends! In the spring, Tryon Palace Gardens will be open for free in conjunction with the New Bern Historical Society’s Annual Heritage Homes Tour in historic downtown New Bern. Enjoy a variety of spring blooming plants, including tulips, irises, and more, throughout the 16 acres of gardens of Tryon Palace during Garden Lovers’ Weekend. We hold a second Garden Lovers’ Weekend in the fall.
