Candlelight 2023

Our Candlelight holiday event includes tours of the Governor’s Palace, Stanly House, Dixon House, and lots of holiday festivities and activities on the historic site grounds. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. on both nights of Candlelight, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy all the festivities before and after your tour the Palace. You will want to spend time exploring the historic homes, participating in various activities, watching Fife and Drum performances, and being entertained in the Performance Tent with magic and circus performers. At the end of your enchanted evening, enjoy a show of black powder fireworks that bring cascading color to the skies above the Palace!
Food will be available to purchase from food trucks located outside the Palace gates. And don’t forget to stop by the King’s Arms Tavern for adult libations. At Mistletoe Corner, you can enjoy drinks and delicious snacks in a festive holiday setting.
