A much-needed boost, in the form of a new factory, is promised to the residents of the tiny fishing village in St. Marie-La-Mauderne, Canada, provided they can lure a doctor to take up full-time residency on the island. Inspired, the villagers devise a scheme to help Dr. Christopher Lewis choose to stay. Fortunately, the village of St. Marie does have a draw – Eve, a lovely postal worker Eve is the only one in town not trying to seduce Dr. Lewis, though she’d have the most luck. She mocks his superior attitude toward the locals. When he asks what she’s reading, she replies that actually she’s only capable of looking at the pictures. You know it’s only a matter of time before they get together. (87 minutes)
