July 4th – Independence Day, Family Day, Including a Colors Presentation of the Sons of the American Revolution Colors Team. Singing of the Star-Spangled Banner by Donna Storey of Due East Music Group (She’s Awesome). Hamburgers – Bar BQ from Moores – Hot Dogs. Adult Food Plates $5-$7, including Sides, and Children 12 and Under Free Plates (Hamburger or Hot Dogs). Activities for Children, and Competitive Events of Horseshoes and Corn Hole for others. At 5:00 PM – Tammy Hammond, DJ & Karaoke. Note: The VFW will be Celebrating their 90th Year of Serving the New Bern Community, from July of 1931 to July of 2021.
