In observance of Black History Month, join us weekly for our weekly series on the history and the impact of the United States Colored Troops, featuring nine local and national scholars on the United States Colored Troops. The 35th Regiment, United States Colored Troops, is one of the three military interpretive units at Tryon Palace and is dedicated to telling the stories of the original members of the 35th USCT Regiment that rallied in New Bern in 1863 after the Emancipation Proclamation.
